About Rep. Collene Lamonte

State Representative Collene Lamonte is serving her first term representing Michigan’s 91st House District, which includes areas within Muskegon County, such as Norton Shores, Ravenna and Montague.

Before serving in the Legislature, Lamonte was a high school math and science teacher for the Muskegon Public Schools. As a teacher, Lamonte witnessed firsthand how recent cuts to education funding have harmed our schools. Lamonte prepared for her teaching career at Adrian College and Oakland University.

Lamonte lives in Montague with her husband, Jeff, who is an engineer. They have two children, Nicholas and Grace.
