EDUCATION
State Representative Mary Valentine received her Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in speech therapy and her Master's degree from Northern Michigan University in education.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Rep. Valentine has spent the past 30 years as a speech and language therapist in Michigan's public schools, retiring in June 2006. She has been a Sunday school teacher for the past 16 years and was director of church youth education.
FAMILY
Rep. Valentine has been a Norton Shores resident for nearly two decades. She and her husband, Phil, are the proud parents of two.
